Church Groups
A Listing of our Church Groups
Choir
Voice choir practices every first and third Wednesday from 7 - 8pm
(Sept. - May) and sings 2 - 3 times a month in the Sunday services.
Ladies Aid
St. Paul's Ladies Aid has been serving St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years.
The women have raised money for the church through various fundraisers including Christmas bazaars of the past to the pie making and sales of the present to name a few.
The Ladies Aid has been the backbone of the church promoting fellowship through the work of the Lutheran Women Missionary League as well as attending and holding dinners with the women of area churches.
The Ladies Aid provides St. Paul confirmation class with inspirational gifts. They also provide the area high school graduates with gifts as well as selecting a recipient for the St. Paul's scholarship.
Youth Group
St. Paul’s Warriors for Christ Youth Group consists of youth from 6th-12th
grade. The youth group actively meet September-May and as needed in the
summer. Meeting times are the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 4:45pm to
6:00pm
Youth group is a great opportunity for our youth to
grow spiritually in a fun, Christian environment with a focus on service and
fellowship. The hope is that being a part of the youth group will provide a
base for our youth in developing values, ethical norms, and a sense of what
a Christian community is all about. The youth group looks to have a
positive influence on both our congregation and community.
Some of
the activities that the Warriors for Christ have held include fellowship
lunches, the Easter breakfast, community clean up, assisting community
members with yard work, assisting with assembling school kits for World
Relief, trick or treating for the Lord’s Cupboard, and holding a Christmas
gift drive for the residents of Park Manor to name a few. In June of 2023
the Youth Group is planning a trip to The Creation Museum and The Ark
Encounter. The kids will do various fundraisers to help all of the youth
group members to go
Quilters
The
St. Paul's Quilters meet every Tuesday morning in the church basement from 9
a.m. to noon. The quilters make their quilts not only for missions but also
donate them to local family abuse shelters and local families that have lost
their belongings to disasters. Each year, they make between three hundred
to four hundred quilts that are donated. Everything is made with donated
materials.
The quilters invite anyone interested to join them for a
morning of rewarding work, fellowship and fun. They also welcome any
donations to help with their meaningful, rewarding work.
